A website designed to serve as the repository for almost every image on Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop is gearing up to launch on June 1st.
BidenLaptopMedia.com will feature around 40,000 images from 2008 to 2019, covering everything from drab family vacation photos to crazy sexcapades.
Hunter’s many nude images presented technical challenges.
“It has proven difficult to redact all genitalia in a timely manner,” said Garret Ziegler, founder of the nonprofit Marco Polo, which is developing the site and already hosts all email and text from Biden’s laptops in a searchable public database.
“Some of the videos took my husband 20 man-hours to edit all the genitals.”
The photos on the laptop were “never fully published,” Ziegler said. Marco Polo also blocks social security numbers, credit card numbers, and bank account information. “We try to be as transparent as possible.”
Ziegler said the images remain an important part of the public record.
“Degeneracy is a big part of the pie, but a lot of the photos there are very relevant and have tremendous news value,” he said.
An uneventful photo of a box labeled “Important Documents” from President Biden’s Delaware home took on new prominence after it was revealed that classified documents had been improperly stored at the home.
A few photos are withheld — like everyday iPhone game screenshots. Captions or contextual information are not provided. Marco Polo said they “identified everyone”.
Ziegler said he would eventually find a way to publicly host all of the laptop’s content online, including calendar entries, thoughts from Hunter’s Notes tab and videos – but that technical challenges have delayed the process.
“We haven’t had to make any corrections in 18 months so far,” he said. “We will not post fake bullshit photos there.”
