I am using an Infinix Zero Ultra and it is very up to date in terms of security patches as it has the April patch but the Android version is still only Android 12.
However, the operating system does not contain any advertising or adware at all, maybe the earlier phones had, but they have evolved and so should you.

you must suffer, May 17, 2023The brand has been criticized simply for using a 3 year old Helio chipset. It is too old… moreYes, but I can’t complain much. I use both G88 and G95, the second version is powerful enough for my needs, but G88 is quite powerful.
Anyway, I think using the G95 here would raise the phone’s final price a bit and jeopardize Infinix’s promise to keep the new series sub-$300.
Chipset aside, I can’t think of any other phone that offers such value for money in the same category. The Note 30 Pro is expected to cost around $265, which leads me to believe the Note 30i will be significantly cheaper. Let’s wait.

IgorS, May 16, 2023The Zero does the sameYes, but the existence of a second chip has been confirmed on this phone. I didn’t see any mention of this on the Zero Ultra. However, I do own a couple of Zero Ultra phones (1 of each color variant) and they take great pictures both day and night.

JBL sound, AMOLED display with almost no frame, back made of glass or leather-like material, 33W charging instead of the (slow and) usual 18W, IP53, plus 8GB + 256GB of internal memory.
Whenever I see a budget phone like this, I wonder why people are still condemning the brand when other brands just don’t do anything similar without charging three times more money.

The other one in my first comment is the weirdest, 1080p oled 90hz, but the chipset doesn’t even support 90hz.
An0n, May 16, 2023I thought the Helio G85 could only handle camera sensors up to 48MP. I guess I was wrong No, you are right. This isn’t the first time Infinix has done this. The Zero Ultra has a 200MP sensor, but the Dimensity 920 doesn’t support that, the 1080 would.

I’m pretty sure the Helio G85 would struggle at just 90… moreWell I’ve tried the Redmi 10 with the Helio G88 before, it performed quite well for a budget phone with a 1080p 90Hz display, with the G88 being exactly the same chipset with one key difference. The crucial difference is that the Helio G85 does not support 90 Hz. So my bigger question about this phone would be this:
If you want to use a lower-end Helio G chipset, why use the Helio G85 instead of the G88?
Oddly enough, there are phones with the G85 paired with a 90Hz, albeit only 720p IPS display, but according to Mediatek’s own website there’s no native support for such a high refresh rate, so it’s likely touch-only sampling rate.
