Mark your calendar – concerts and movies are starting in the park!
The City of Arcadia proudly announces the 2023 Summer Free Concert and Movie Series, taking place every Thursday from June 22nd to August 3rd, 2023. Concerts start at 6:30pm and films at dusk. Children can have fun in the amusement area with lots of games, crafts and activities. The events will take place at the City Hall Lawn at 240 West Huntington Drive between City Hall and the Police Department. Free parking is available at City Hall and Santa Anita Park, Gate 5.
JUNE 22, ELECTRIC VINYL, MINIONS: RISE OF GRU and ENVIRONMENTAL FAIR
Electric Vinyl (Classic Rock) – Electric Vinyl recreates the legendary music and concert experience from Aerosmith to Fleetwood Mac and Bon Jovi to Van Halen, the band covers them all!
Minions: Rise of Gru (PG) – The untold story of a 12 year old’s dream of becoming the world’s greatest super villain.
Environment Fair – Be there tonight and learn more about the environment. Visit vendors for information and freebies.
JUNE 29, BEACH ST. A GO GO AND HOTEL TRANSYLVANIA: TRANSFORMANIA
Beach St. a Go Go (60’s) – Introducing BEACH St. A GoGo! The audience is treated to groovy music and stories that shape a generation.
Hotel Transylvania: Transformania (PG) – After an experiment, Johnny turns into a monster and everyone else becomes human. Now it remains to be seen whether they can reverse this experiment.
JULY 6, MOBILITY US AIR FORCE BAND AND LIGHTYEARMobility, US Air Force Band (Rock) – Mobility is the high-energy rock band of the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West.
Lightyear (PG) – During years of trying to return home, Space Ranger Buzz Lightyear encounters an army of ruthless robots under the command of Zurg trying to steal his fuel source.
JULY 13, SOTO BAND AND VIVOSoto Band (Latin Oldies) – The Soto Band brings soulful ballads, Latin rhythms, hot dance grooves and energetic choreographies.
Vivo (PG) – Vivo, a musical adventure featuring songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, takes audiences on an epic adventure to beautiful and vibrant places never before seen in animation.
JULY 20, KELLY RAE BAND AND LITTLE GIANTSKelly Rae Band (Country) – The Kelly Rae Band performs a range of country music from Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash to the latest artists.
Little Giants (PG) – Underdogs form their own opposing team into an elite peewee football team, coached by the brother of the elite team’s coach.
JULY 27, BUFFETT BEACH AND PAWS OF FURY: THE LEGEND OF HANKBuffett Beach (Jimmy Buffett Tribute) – Buffett Beach offers the ultimate Jimmy Buffett & the Coral Reefer Band experience! Buffett Beach is a perfect homage to the great Jimmy Buffett shows we all love!
Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank (PG) – Hank, a loveable dog, dreams of becoming a samurai and sets out on a quest to find his destiny.
AUGUST 3, ARCADIA’S 120TH BIRTHDAY, NATIONAL EVENING, COLD DUCK AND PUSSY IN BOOTS: THE LAST WISHCold Duck (70s/Top 40s) – Cold Duck’s philosophy is responsible for their continued success: “Give people what they want to hear and have fun delivering it!” Cold Duck continues its tradition of musical excellence and groovy rhythms. Let’s dance the night away!
Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (PG) – Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll when he learns that he has burned eight of his nine lives.
National Night Out and Arcadia’s 120th Anniversary – National Night Out promotes crime prevention and education through partnerships with police communities. The Arcadia Police and Fire Department will be present along with the Arcadia Police Department SWAT team, K-9 and area commanders. There’s free fingerprints, an obstacle course for kids, and more! We’re also celebrating the city’s 120th birthday. Enjoy a cupcake and a birthday t-shirt, plus special activities to celebrate the special occasion.
