you have to suffer, 18 minutes agoinfinix will be a good partner. especially in the future zero models or maybe asus?Tecno, for their Camon series. Rename it to the Canon series, and it’s perfect.

Rkm, 8 minutes agoDon’t get too excited guys. This may not be related to improving image quality. … morethey are just trying to bring their lens to smartphones, so..

Don’t get too excited guys. This may not be related to improving image quality. It may not be like what we see today. Canon as a company is often reluctant to give up control (their printers, ink, don’t allow other 3rd party manufacturers to make RF mount AF lenses). Bringing in a smartphone company with equal or more ‘power’ will confuse them.

infinix will be a good partner. especially for future zero models
or maybe asus?

YUKI93, 34 minutes agoIt really ended with the P40 series. Since the Mate 50 series, Huawei has gone its own way.The P50 series still has Leica lenses.

i think its too late for any camera maker brand to do this, Canon or Nikon should have done this 5 years ago when they were struggling and started losing the market for smartphones.

Anyway, what are they going to do now? Because smartphone camera sensors are made by Sony and Samsung or Omnivision.

Don’t rely on them, even though Kodak made a phone and even with their photo expertise it doesn’t sell and the quality is low.

ae86, 1 hour agoimaging if the Xperia division worked with them. the alpha division explodes … moreXperia already has Sony and Zeiss. It’s a shame for them to partner with Canon too.

Honor is finally in the big boys league with the Magic 5 Pro, the camera samples are amazing. They can only partner with marketing, they already have quality.
Realme, on the other hand, needs something flashy in its brand name. Outside Asia very unfamiliar brand for westerners. And a touch of knowledge from Canon wouldn’t hurt them.

Sony still has a partnership with Zeiss that continues to this day, but it begs an interesting question as to which smartphone brand will take over Canon. My only possibility now is either Huawei or Honor. Huawei lost their Leica partnership with Xiaomi, so it’s a good chance to have a second round with Canon. Also, Honor used to be a sub-brand of Huawei, so it gives Honor a chance to be in the same place as its old parent brand if Huawei wasn’t interested in the partnership in the first place or the deal didn’t materialize.

A

Honor-Canon.

That’s a collaboration name that sounds good. If only that would happen.

Anonymous, 1 hour agoHuawei has also partnered with Leica at some point. P10 or P20Yes, but their partnership with the P50 series has ended.

?

DarlingYext, 1 hour agoSony definitely has Zeiss. But anyways, I want to see Tecno/Infinix partner up … moreHuawei has also partnered with Leica at some point. P10 or P20

?

Maybe they can make a smartphone camera that doesn’t overprocess and oversaturate all photos? If I want a filter, I apply it afterwards.

?

Pls partner up with zte, they are one of the best (not for software update tho, but you got a point 😂)

Canon is working with the drone manufacturer and surveillance industry. The smartphone is a dying breed that made LiDARs, infra-color swap camera lenses, made AIs to see through clothes, tiny zoom lenses, we wait at our desk.

Honor and huawei got good hw, but huawei is already good, same as samsung and apple.
Most will benefit from honor because their processing lags behind huawei even with the same hw.

All smartphones from this particular country are full of gimmicks without any quality. There is software processing is worse that uses a lot of ram, battery. And they think that by doing a collaboration with a well-known camera company that sales will increase there. Someone kindly tell the companies of this particular country to kindly use a big sensor and not use heavy noise reduction in the name of oil painting( night mode ) in low light will surely help them without any cooperation . 😒

Sony definitely has Zeiss. But still, I’d love to see Tecno/Infinix partner with Canon.
